|Dr Simon S Ramsden MA (Oxford) MD MB BS (Hons. London 1984) MRCP (UK) MRCGP (Dist)
Dr Ramsden trained at Oxford University and St Mary's Hospital Medical School. He won a number of scholarships and passed finals with distinctions in pathology and pharmacology. He trained in general medicine at London teaching hospitals obtaining the MRCP qualification before re-training in general practice. He passed the MRCGP exam with distinction. After joining the surgery in 1987 Dr Ramsden received a doctorate in medicine from London University for epidemiological work on epilepsy. Special interests include adult general medicine and child health.
BA (Oxford) MBBS (London 1989) MRCP DRCOG MRCGP
Dr Philip Reid trained at Oxford University and St Mary's Hospital in London. After qualification he trained in general medicine in west London hospitals before gaining the MRCP qualification. He then specialised in general practice obtaining the MRCGP qualification and DRCOG qualification in obstetrics and gynaecology. He joined the practice in 1993. The practice has developed a special expertise in the medical care of homeless people and also runs the Great Chapel Street Medical Centre in Soho. Dr Reid runs a charity providing accommodation and support for homeless people. He is responsible for the shared antenatal care at the practice.
Dr Angela Sharma BSc. MBCHB MRCGP DCH DRCOG DFFP
Dr Sharma trained at Manchester Medical School. During her course she did an intercalated Bsc. in Immunology and Oncology in 1993. Her research was based at The Paterson Institute in Manchester and she received an award from the Smith & Nephew Foundation for her work. She graduated in 1997 and she subsequently obtained the DCH (Diploma in Child Health), DRCOG (Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology) and DFFP (Diploma in Family Planning). She did her General Practice training in inner city Manchester and gained her MRCGP in 2001. She came to London in June 2002 and has worked at Pembridge Villas Surgery since that time. She is responsible for the management of chronic diseases at the surgery. She also works at the branch surgery on Great Chapel Street – a drop in surgery for homeless patients in Soho
Dr Hitesh Mistry BSc, MBBS (Lond), MRCGP
Dr Hitesh Mistry trained at King’s College School of Medicine, London. He spent time publishing neuroscience research during an intercalated BSc in physiology, and obtained a 1st class honours degree.
He trained in Adult medicine in London hospitals, before completing his specialist training in general practice at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington. He completed his MRCGP with Merit and has been working as a GP in the area for over 4 years.
He has an interest in chronic disease management and child health at the practice.
Dr Bobby Sebastian MBBS, MRCP(UK), MRCGP
Dr Sebastian trained and completed his MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) at Calicut University in South India. He came to the UK in 2003 and trained extensively in general medicine and completed his MRCP (UK) in 2008. His general medicine training included:
- Working in the Acute Specialist Stroke Unit at the University of Leicester Hospital
- A placement at the Hospital of Tropical Medicine and Infectious Disease at University College Hospital, London
- Work in the field of elderly care and complex disease management.
Following completion of his general medicine training, Dr Sebastian completed his specialist training in general practice at Chelmsford Essex and received his MRCGP in August 2012. Dr Sebastian joined the Pembridge Villas Surgery in September 2012 and his special interest is adult general medicine.
