PATIENT ONLINE SERVICES -NOW LIVE!

 

You are now able to:

  • Book routine doctor's appointments up to 8 weeks in advance
  • Cancel appointments up to 1 hour before your appointment time
  • Order repeat prescriptions to be ready in 2 working days
  • Have access to your summary patient record-(See below for more details)
  • Have access to your Detailed Coded Record (Please speak to reception for more information)
  • Update your contact details

You must specify to reception if you wish to have access to your detailed coded record.

 

 

How to register and access the online services

  • In order to access these services, you will need a username and a password which you must request at the surgery in person. The receptionist team will be more than happy to help you with this. This is so that your identification can be verified and so we will require photographic ID (e.g. driving license, passport, bus pass)
  • Your username will consist of your first name, second name and date of birth and your password will be automatically generated by the computer.
  • We advise you to change your password the first time that you log into the system

(this needs to be at least 8 characters and include at least one number and one non-alphanumeric character e.g. “?” or “!”)

  • Please do not reveal your password to anyone. If at any time you believe that someone else may have learned your password or gained access to your account you should contact us as soon as possible.
  • In order to access our Online Services, please allow 3 hours after receiving your login details and go to: https://systmonline.tpp-uk.com/Login?Date=20150316173954

This will lead you to another website where you can enter your login details.

Please ensure that you logout once you have finished.

Confidentiality and Security

Information sent via Patient Access is encrypted. This means that messages you send cannot be intercepted or read by others, and only you and the practice are able to see your personal information.  

Personal information belonging to patients who do not request a Patient Access account will not be accessible over the Internet. We will only enable the Internet access facilities provided through Patient Access if you request us to do so, allowing you secure access to your medication, allergies, adverse reactions and your appointment details. Your other medical information will not be accessible. If you change your mind, you can ask for your Patient Access account to be deactivated at any time.

The areas patients will be able to access will include a summary of information relating to medications, allergies, adverse reactions and appointments.

 

 

Practice Guidance for Patient Online Access

 

Before you begin to use Online Access we would appreciate it if you could read the following guidance. Please keep this page of the document for your own reference.

 

*Booking appointments

Please enter a reason for your appointment in the box provided when booking an appointment.

This gives us the opportunity to ensure that it is appropriate for you to see the relevant clinician.

Please note the appointments available online are only for general appointments. (e.g. NO antenatal, chronic diseases, ear syringe, complex dressings, complex cases, travel, medicals etc.) We may contact you if we feel the booking is inappropriate.

 

Please be assured that all details entered are secure and cannot be intercepted. Our practice has a strict confidentiality policy.

 

*Missed Appointments

Please let us know if you will be unable to attend an appointment that you have booked online. Either contact us by telephone to cancel it or cancel it online. This will allow us to offer the appointment to another patient.

We realise that there are valid reasons for not attending, however we will be monitoring such occurrences on a regular basis.

If you miss an appointment more than twice in 6 months we will remove your facility to use Online Access; however you will still be able to book appointments with our receptionists.

 

*Inappropriate use

 

We monitor the use of this service and we are sure that you will find it useful. However if we find any abuse of the service, we will revoke your access to the service. You will have to liaise with our reception team for services.

We would consider inappropriate use as: sending inappropriate or abusive messages, booking appointments and not using them more than twice in 6 months, booking appointments for other family members using your name.

 

*Your Responsibility

The practice will take every measure to ensure that your Online Access application is secure. It is your responsibility to ensure that your Online Access account remains this way. You are able to terminate or reset your Online Access Account at any time by contacting the surgery in writing or in person. You may wish to do this if you think someone else knows your logging in details or if you have shared details with a family member or partner and

no longer wish them to know these details.

 

Prescription Requests

Online Access will give you a facility to send repeat medication requests to the surgery. We will still require 2 working days to process requests. Please note you can only request medication you have ordered from the Pembrdge Villas Surgery before or you may be asked to come in and see a Doctor.

 

Your summary patient record

The areas patients will be able to access will include a summary of information relating to medications, allergies and adverse reactions. There is no access to all your medical history.

If you wish to have access to all your records you will still need to put a request in writing and send it to reception, there is a charge for this service.

 

Your Detailed coded record

If you wish to have access to your detailed coded record you must apply in person at reception with proof of ID. The receptionists will ask you to fill in an application form and your request will then be passed onto a Doctor for approval which can take up to 2 weeks.

 

The practice may not be able to offer online access due to a number of reasons such as concerns that it could cause harm to physical or mental health or where there is reference to third parties. The practice has the right to remove online access to services for anyone that doesn’t use them responsibly.

 

Updating your contact details

 

You can update your contact details online by filling in the relevant fields in the change contact details tab. Please note our admin team will monitor this and they may need to contact you if you no longer reside in our catchment area. If you believe you have moved out of the catchment area we would prefer if you contact reception directly.
