Our travel clinic is available on Tuesday afternoons. Please ring reception for more information. If you wish to have a travel appointment you will need to book it at least four weeks before your holiday. It is important to book in early for the travel clinic as you may need a course of vaccinations spread over 3-4 weeks.

The nurse will discuss all vaccination requirements with you when you come to the travel clinic. Please do not ask for telephone advice regarding travel vaccinations as the nurses are not able to give you such advice over the telephone.
All common travel vaccinations are kept in stock and are free on the NHS. Please note though that there are some vaccines that are not free and there will be a charge, payable only with cash - please ask reception for more information. Please find the charges below per shot:
- Yellow Fever - £75
- Malaria - £10 (just for prescription)
- Rabies - £70 (1 dose)
- Meningitis ACWY- £65 (1 dose)
- Japanese Encephalitis - £100 (1 dose)
- Hep B - £45 (1 dose)
- Heb B Jrn - £25
- Tick Borne Encepahitis - £70 (1 dose)
Also malaria prescriptions are private prescriptions and there is a small charge by the surgery for the provision of private prescriptions (£10) and then the pharmacies charge you for the tablets.
People who fall into certain risk groups may be offered extra vaccines. These include vaccinations against diseases such as hepatitis B, tuberculosis (TB), seasonal flu and chickenpox. Please visit the NHS Choices pages on vaccines for adults for further information.
